Historic (Downtown) Milwaukie
Milwaukie Station Food Cart Pod, 11301 SE 21st Ave.: Singer-songwriter Jessi La Main performs 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jessi LaMain is a Pacific Northwest native with strong roots in the Portland community. From a young age, Jessi spent her time studying a variety of instruments. This developed into a passion for music that is still burning like an Oregon Coast beach bonfire to this day!
Elk Rock Wellness, 2403 SE Monroe St.: A “Shen Den” experience of healing vibrations, restorative yoga and interactive activities from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 11, 18 and 25. Meditative sound bath with crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes, didgeridoos, rainsticks and more. Visitors are invited to create flower bouquets, essential oil blends, and experience crystal earseeds. Activities take place outside in the backyard of the building complex.
Lake Road Neighborhood
12215 SE 38th Ave.: Two all-woman groups, Prairie Flowers and Beaumont Roses, playing bluegrass and folk music, 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 11 and 25. Chairs and non-alcoholic beverages provided.
13022 SE Kuehn Road: Indie-folk songwriter Cameron Ford creates relaxing tributes to popular music with acoustic guitar, his voice and a loop pedal, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 25. Cameron has a masters degree in Songwriting from Bath Spa University in Bath, England. He moved to Chicago and wrote/produced several plays, including “Chico: The Musical” and “Ron Paul The Musical” before being hired as music director for Second City Chicago. Now the social media manager for the streaming technology company Brightcove, he lives in Portland with his partner and 2-year-old daughter.
Lewelling Neighborhood
5910 SE Laurel St.: Fire & Ice, a Pat Benatar tribute band playing all the greatest hits, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 25.
Linwood Neighborhood
SE Imperial Court and 74th Ave.: Retro Flamingo Collective, an all-women band playing a lineup of contemporary folk/rock favorites, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 25. Catch them on the cul-de-sac.
Oak Grove
15930 SE Wallace Road: Singer/songwriter (and host of Reflective Eclectic on Shady Pines Radio) Bruce Eric Reiter performs Americana and folk music, including some covers, 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 11, 18 & 25. Some nights might include a second guest musician. Stop by and sit in provided chairs under the shade trees.
