8732 SE 33rd Ave.: The Western Hustle, a dynamic rock band hailing from Portland that’s crafted a unique sound blending acoustic guitar finesse with driving drums, gritty electric guitar riffs and soaring, emotionally charged vocals. Milwaukie Museum (3737 SE Adams St.): Deer Friend, a dream folk duo based in Portland, made up of Sarah & Kat Brady, playing trance-like ballads and folksy guitar tunes using a variety of instruments, ranging from shruti box to guitar to metallophone, 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 18. Milwaukie Station Food Cart Pod, 11301 SE 21st Ave.: Singer-songwriter Jessi La Main performs 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jessi LaMain is a Pacific Northwest native with strong roots in the Portland community. From a young age, Jessi spent her time studying a variety of instruments. This developed into a passion for music that is still burning like an Oregon Coast beach bonfire to this day! Kellogg Creek Park (11525 SE McLoughlin Blvd): The African-style marimba band Danda will perform acoustic music from Zimbabwe and other popular favorites, 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18.

2419 SE Lake Road: The Bloozers, some chill dudes playing some blues and rock oldies, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 18. Parking available across the street at the church.

B-Side Records & Vintage, 10801 SE Main St.: It&i Band is a delightfully odd one-man-band, who performs punky/dancy/cabaret/pop originals while playing drums with his feet while holding an acoustic guitar, plays 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 18.

12107 SE 20th Ave.: Comedy Showcase featuring Portland-area comics Ross Passeck, Adam Pasi, Sam Whiteley, James Hartenfeld, Elena C. Hayden, and Cam String, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 18. This comedy show is typically pretty clean, may not be suitable for small children or sensitive audiences.

11912 SE 19th Ave.: Carson Poncé, a singer-songwriter/Americana artist in the styles of Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and alt-country, performs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18.

Lake Road Neighborhood

11584 SE 32nd Ave.: Windward, performing 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 11 and 18. Fluid flute and guitar/piano playing acoustic ballads from the last 60 years, including songs by Eva Cassidy, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis, Broadway tunes, folk music and more.

2746 SE Washington St. (Hager’s Pond): Kick back or kick up your heels to Western Supply Company, a tight knit Portland band featuring lead vocal, fiddle, lead and rhythm guitar, bass and drums. Vintage honky tonk and western swing made for dancing and enjoying, from Hank Williams to Bob Will and Ray Price to Merle Haggard, 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18.

9509 SE Wichita Ave.:  John the Red Nose, performing Medieval Bardic music with instruments and vocals, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18. Ren Faire attire welcome!

4264 SE Fieldcrest St.: Employing a combination of beautifully crafted folk-rock songs and a staggering weathered voice, Thom Lyons has been winning over audiences on both sides of the Atlantic for years. After growing up in London the youngest son of two Irish immigrants, he became an immigrant himself in 2011 when he fell in love with a girl and followed her 5,000 miles away to Milwaukie, Oregon. He’ll be playing a mix of originals and some of his favorite songs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 18.

9580 SE 42nd Ave.: Roxy Doll, playing acoustic jazz/country with banjo ukulele and singing, 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 18.

9831 SE 44th Ave.: Sour Applesauce, Milwaukie High School students playing ’90s grunge and rock covers from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by The Cry Wolves, a three-piece punk/post-punk/rock band, 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 18.

9925 SE 70th Ave. (just east of Lewelling Neighborhood): The Fabulous Bad Cats, an original rockin’ blues band, perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18. They’ve played events in the Northwest since 2002, with a large catalogue of classic hits — from Johnny Cash to Prince — including jazz, funk, country, classic rock and blues. Bring your lawn chair and an umbrella and enjoy the music.

6501 SE Overland St.: The Bureaucrats, a four-piece band playing blues, funk, reggae and rock ‘n’ roll, perform 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18.

Linwood Neighborhood

5566 SE Beckman Terrace: The Two Bit Brothers, a duo consisting of Bill Valach and Dwaine Wisthoff, play an eclectic array of Americana music spanning many decades, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18. Along with original music, their repertoire includes favorites from legendary bands such as the Beatles, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, Neal Young, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and other artists.

11107 SE Stanley Ave.: Outliers In, an acoustic duo based in Portland that spans a wide array of genres, perform 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 18. Their latest release is a self-titled original acoustic EP that draws from jazz, folk, rock and indie music. Hailing from Spokane and New York, the duo came together in Portland in 2018 and perform at a variety of venues around the city.

7018 SE Furnberg St.: The Lindybee and Friends Cul-de-sac Serenade returns, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Join singer Lindy Barr-Batdorf and friends for a relaxed evening of music, refreshments, community and so much fun! First responders are welcome to sing, as are visitors who’d like to come up and sing a rehearsed song. (The hosts can pull up a karaoke version of your song on YouTube.) Goodies and some seating provided.

11592 SE 56th Ave.: Stump City Soul, a 10-piece soul/funk dance band with an expansive catalog of hits drawing from legendary artists like James Brown and Stevie Wonder to modern hitmakers like Bruno Mars, playing 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 18. (Note: 56th will be closed to traffic between Lloyd and Waymire, so there will be plenty of space to dance!)

5445 SE Woodhaven St.: Jazz Jargon, a jazz ensemble made up of of rising eighth graders from Sellwood Middle School, plays 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 18. This student-run group features Leo Camacho on drums, Henry Rodgers on piano, Lucas Anderson on bass, Raphael Paglia-Brockman on alto sax and vocals, Sam Loh-Menendez on clarinet and Theo Vesbit on trombone and vocals. They have a strong jazz influence and play a variety of standards along with original songs.

Oak Grove

15794 SE Norma Road: Jackson Warner, playing Americana inspired indie folk rock, 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 18.

15930 SE Wallace Road: Singer/songwriter (and host of Reflective Eclectic on Shady Pines Radio) Bruce Eric Reiter performs Americana and folk music, including some covers, 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 11, 18 & 25. Some nights might include a second guest musician. Stop by and sit in provided chairs under the shade trees.

16230 SE Hillside Lane: Live hip hop from Jay Edit, along with Sean Ryan and Seven Tenners, 5:30-8:30 p.m. (Note, earlier start time.)
